Improving Form Completion Rates with Google Analytics Keyword Eye Blog
Improving Form Completion Rates with Google Analytics | Keyword Eye BlogImagine the situation; you have customers wanting to buy your products or services but drop out of the process because they find the form on your website impossible. They leave your site frustrated and will struggle to find an incentive to try again. This stumbling block is hugely frustrating for webmasters too. What can we do to track which elements of a form cause problems for customers? Wouldn’t it be great to track, change & test your form over a period of time so it ultimately reaches its optimal conversion rate?
To do this in Google Analytics I’d begin by setting up an overarching goal for form completion. This process simply tracks the amount of visitors on the form and the ‘thank you’ page for completing the form. These two figures allow us to see what % of users complete the form.
