When you're first starting to submit articles to drive traffic to your website, it's not unusual to feel a little 'information overload'.

You've probably heard people talking about targeting keywords, doing research on statistics, checking PageRank and search engine ranking lists, and doing all sorts of technical things that you're afraid are over your head and may limit the effectiveness of your efforts when it comes to Article Marketing.

This is completely and utterly not the case. 

I have something interesting to tell you, something encouraging, and something perhaps that's even a bit shocking for some people. 

You may be surprised to find out that the #1 reason why people don't reach their Article Marketing goals is not because of anything having to do with not understanding or implementing advanced SEO strategies or anything complicated. 

The absolute #1 reason why an Article Marketing campaign "doesn't work" is simply because the person did not submit enough articles on a consistent basis.

That's it–a very simple reason, something that can be easily rectified and something that anyone of any skill level can turn around. 

Article Marketing is a long term marketing strategy. It is extremely effective, the results are reliable, and the actual process of submitting articles is something that  people of any skill level can do.

You don't need to be a SEO mastermind or technical guru to drive traffic to your website.

In fact, oftentimes it's the "regular" person with just a basic knowledge that has the greatest results, because they have a quality that is absolutely indispensable when it comes to marketing your website.

Because Article Marketing gets it's immense power from a cumulative effort–doing one simple activity over and over again for an extended period of time.

It's all about MOMENTUM.  

When you first start submitting articles (or any link building campaign for that matter), it will take a few months for Google and the other search engines to register these new links.

During those first few months, you will be working, submitting articles consistently each month, but the results of your efforts will not be immediately visible.

Think of it this way–during those first few months, you're planting seeds.

When you first plant seeds, you won't be able to see any evidence of the seeds from looking at the top of the soil. You'll just be seeing dirt–the ground will look just the same as it did the day before you planted. 

But something is going on beneath the soil, the seeds are sprouting and growing and starting to reach towards the  sunlight. You don't see all this activity under the earth, but it's going on alright.

If you lose patience, you may just walk away thinking, "Those seeds must have been duds. Nothing is happening."

But little did you know that if you had just waited a little while longer, being faithful with your watering, that you could have had a bumper crop a few months down the road.

The whole form has been redesigned to stand out more from the rest of the content on the page, making it easier to see how it all fits together. The vertical space for the services list has been compressed. This list took up a big chunk of the screen before, but has now been compressed to 4 columns which saves a lot of space. …And the action button is now bigger than ever, so you can’t possibly miss it!

As for the Stats page, it’s received a minor update. The graph has been modified to fit with the new color scheme of Ping-o-matic.

The spirit behind the redesign was to give Ping-o-matic a graphical profile on it’s own, with bold colors that makes the service memorable. I also wanted to make it better tied in to the WordPress/Automattic family’s graphical profile and user interface ideas. You’ll notice similar fonts, navigation solutions and a fancy looking footer, as well as a good deal of “under the hood” similarities. Social networks are groups of interconnected individuals, organizations and businesses on the Internet.

Popular social networking Web sites include MySpace, Facebook and LinkedIn. Also, blogs (like online diaries) and blogging services such as WordPress, Blogger and Twitter allow sharing of ideas and activities.

These sites are important marketing tools because they have many millions of members. Facebook, for example, has 200 million users, half of whom visit the site daily, according to the American Marketing Association. Membership is exploding, with women ages 35 to 54 the fastest-growing segment.

Your competition is almost certainly using these sites. Advertising on social networks is up 17 percent this year, and often with very good results. As marketers, we try to advertise to our most likely customers for best effect, and social networks are a great way to do this by age, education and interests. MySpace tends to attract a teen and young adult crowd. Facebook started with college students and recent grads but has grown well past its college roots. LinkedIn is a site for professionals to network; it’s also a terrific place to find skilled employees. Marketers choose the sites that best fit their typical customer.

Finally, these sites are free. Optional ads may be purchased that are shown when a profile contains certain words. For example, a store selling canoes and kayaks may pay Facebook to show its ad when a profile contains the word “kayak.” Otherwise, your business or organization may have a page on these sites at no cost and then any number of fans may sign up to read about your business, events, ideas and more.
